About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
A set of six Dining chairs, designed by the influential Italian designer Joe Colombo for Kartell. This design, the 'Universale' chair model 4867, was one of the first chairs in the world to be manufactured entirely from a single piece of molded plastic, a technological breakthrough in the 1960s.
These chairs are manufactured in Italy and made of durable ABS plastic in a white color scheme. The design is both functional and aesthetic, with characteristic round legs and an opening in the backrest that serves as a handle. The chairs are stackable, making them practical for various spaces and storage. This model is an icon of Space Age design and is recognized in the collections of design museums worldwide.
The overall condition of the set is good, with a patina consistent with the age and use of the chairs. The original structure and shape have remained completely intact, which testifies to the quality of the original design and production by Kartell.
This set is an excellent addition to a dining room, office, or creative studio. The chairs seamlessly fit into interiors with a preference for Mid-Century, Space Age, or minimalist design and add a piece of design history to the space.
