A set of six dining chairs, designed by Geoffrey Harcourt for the Dutch manufacturer Artifort. This design is a classic from the Mid-Century Modern period and is known for its comfort and sculptural form. The base consists of a five-star fixed foot made of cast aluminum. The armrests are integrated into the aluminum frame and also upholstered with fabric. The chairs are an example of Dutch craftsmanship and design. The set is in good, vintage condition, consistent with age and use. The original upholstery was professionally reupholstered in 2020, including the inner lining. The construction of the chairs is solid and fully functional, ready for a next phase of life. These versatile chairs are extremely suitable as dining chairs around a large table or as comfortable conference chairs in a business environment. I acquired them from a Philips boardroom after the departure of the director concerned around 2005. They fit seamlessly into an interior with a preference for Dutch Design, Mid-Century Modern, or an eclectic style.
