About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a set of six Gispen 1235 chairs, a classic from Dutch soil. These chairs with armrests are a perfect example of the functionalism for which Dutch Design is known, with a sleek yet comfortable silhouette. The frame of each chair is made of a bent steel tube with a matte finish, providing a sturdy base. The seat and backrest are upholstered with a durable, woven red fabric, and the black plastic armrests offer extra comfort. This design is a well-known part of the Gispen collection and represents a clear, functional design style. The set is in good condition, appropriate for its age. The original upholstery and frame have acquired a beautiful patina over the years, which contributes to the character of the chairs. They are structurally sound and ready for a new home. These Gispen chairs fit perfectly at a dining table in a modern or vintage interior. They also perform well in an office environment, such as a meeting room, where design and practical use come together.
