Product description
A very rare "Chamäleon" set, designed by Sergio Asti for Arnolfo di Cambio Italy from the 1970s. These aperitif glasses have a cylindrical base with an enclosed air bubble, which not only makes them very heavy but also very comfortable to hold. Intended as aperitif glasses, they also work wonderfully as wine goblets, for liqueur and similar drinks, They are made of Alexandrite / Neodymium glass. Meaning: A substance has been added to the glass that absorbs yellow light. In daylight or normal lighting, the object is lilac / pink; in cold light (e.g., fluorescent tubes and similar), the object is a violet shade to light blue. 16cm high 8cm diameter
