This classic dentist's cabinet has remained in exceptionally beautiful condition. Unlike the more common off-white version, this one is in a rare grey. Damage is limited to a few small (treated) rust spots and a rare scratch. The white glass top plate, however, has a glued corner break (see photo), which has been very stably repaired with a two-component epoxy. Furthermore, it comes with all original accessories, drawer glass plates, a tool rack, and shelf supports for the two small glass plates in the cabinet section. The cabinet can be easily moved via the invisible smooth-running wheels. Ai; This is an authentic medical cabinet by the German manufacturer Hansen, produced in Berlin in the 1950s. The design is a prime example of the functionalist aesthetic that emerged from the Bauhaus movement, where form follows function in a sleek and purposeful design. The cabinet is made of sheet steel, finished in a light grey lacquer with contrasting chrome handles and trim. With a width of 78 cm, a depth of 40 cm, and a height of 117 cm, the furniture offers surprisingly ample storage space. The layout consists of five shallow drawers with glass bottoms, a lower cabinet with double doors and two adjustable glass shelves, and a fold-down top compartment. The entire unit stands on hidden wheels, making the cabinet easy to move. The overall condition of the cabinet is good and consistent with its age and original use. The furniture has retained its original finish and authentic details, contributing to its unique character and historical value. The combination of industrial material with refined details makes it a special object. Thanks to its versatile character, this former dentist's cabinet can be used as a unique liquor cabinet in a living room, a storage unit in an office or studio, or as a characteristic sideboard in a hallway.
