Product description
The Knoll Studio Bertoia Side Chair is a well-known design by Harry Bertoia. In his early days at Knoll, Florence gave Bertoia plenty of time and space to experiment. He quickly realized that research wasn't his forte and that a design had to flow primarily from his intuition. He encountered steel wire and found the beginnings of a successful furniture series there. After much positioning and searching for the right form, he ultimately arrived at the Bertoia Side Chair and the Diamond Lounge Chair, both in bent steel. Bertoia was, above all, a painter and sculptor, and the Knoll Bertoia Collection is the only furniture series he ever designed.
The Bertoia chair is 54 centimeters wide, 73 centimeters high, and 58 centimeters deep. The seat height is 46 centimeters.
