This set of four Dining chairs was designed by Niels O. Møller for J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik. The design is a classic example of mid-20th century Scandinavian design, characterized by organic lines and the use of natural materials.The chairs are made of solid oak wood and feature a woven papercord seat. The construction demonstrates the craftsmanship for which Danish furniture making is known, with fluid transitions between the different wooden elements. The warm wood tone subtly contrasts with the light color of the papercord.The set is in good condition, with the woodwork and papercord retaining their original character. The chairs are structurally sound and show a light patina consistent with their age and careful use. The papercord is worn in 3 strands. You don't see or feel anything there, but eventually, the papercord on 2 chairs will need to be replaced. This set of four Møller chairs fits perfectly into a modern or Scandinavian interior.
