The Result Chair was originally designed in the 1950s by Friso Kramer and Wim Rietveld for Ahrend. The design was groundbreaking because it was one of the first chairs produced on an industrial scale with a steel frame and a wooden seat/back. Combining a minimalist look with surprising comfort, the chair was designed to be durable, lightweight and stackable.
In 2017, the Result Chair was re-released by HAY in collaboration with Ahrend, making the design icon widely available again. Thanks to its simple and timeless design, the chair is widely used in modern interiors as well as office and hospitality spaces.
