Product description
This is a set of four chairs by the Dutch manufacturer Gispen, made of rattan and chrome. The design is a classic within the Dutch Design tradition, known for its combination of natural materials and an industrial tubular frame.
The chairs have a cantilever frame of chromed metal, which provides a slight spring and a modern silhouette. The seat and backrest are made of one piece of woven rattan, forming a warm and organic contrast with the sleek metal base. The honey-brown color of the wickerwork gives the chairs an inviting appearance.
This set is in a vintage condition consistent with its age. Two chairs need new upholstery. It is also possible to upholster them with leather or fabric. The chairs are a beautiful addition to a dining table or as individual objects in a living room or study. They fit well in both a Mid-Century Modern and a more eclectic or industrial interior.
