About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a set of four dining chairs, designed by Wim Rietveld for Gispen. It is the iconic model 216, a true classic from Dutch design history known for its sleek, functional appearance.
The chairs have a slender frame of chromed steel, combined with a seat and backrest of shaped, clear lacquered wood. This creates a beautiful contrast between the cool metal and the warm wood. The black plastic armrests add comfort and emphasize the industrial character of the design, which fits perfectly within the 'Goed Wonen' philosophy.
The overall condition of the set is good, and the chairs have an authentic character that matches their age. The original construction is sturdy, and the authenticity sticker from Gispen International is present under the seat. This set fits perfectly into a Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian, or industrial interior and adds a piece of Dutch design heritage to your dining room.
