Four Butterfly Chairs, bidding starts at €200 each
The Butterfly Chair 3107, a design by Arne Jacobsen from 1953 and also known as ‘Series 7’, is one of the most successful chairs ever. This design by Arne Jacobsen for the Danish manufacturer Fritz Hansen is an unprecedented success. The popularity of Arne Jacobsen's Butterfly Chair seems unbeatable. Initially, the Butterfly Chair was only available in black, white, and natural, but nowadays it can be supplied in many colors, wood types, and upholstery options. There is even a children's version available!
The main reason for the success of this chair from the Fritz Hansen collection seems to be its timeless character, alongside the ergonomic design and seating comfort. The fact that the Butterfly Chair fits into the most diverse interiors due to its simple design also explains the great interest. The most famous model from the Series 3107 is labeled an icon in contemporary furniture design.
