About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a set of four vintage folding chairs, designed by Danish designer Niels Gammelgaard for IKEA in the 1980s. These chairs are a good example of the postmodern design of that era, known for their minimalist and functional appearance. The chairs have a black lacquered metal frame and a seat and backrest made of glossy black plastic. The clever, scissor-like design of the base ensures that the chairs can be stored very compactly, making them ideal for smaller spaces or as extra seating. This specific set was produced in Italy, which contributes to the quality and story of the chairs. The set is in good vintage condition, with a character that matches its age. The chairs are sturdy, fully functional, and form a complete set of four. They are perfect as flexible dining chairs, for a studio, or as a stylish addition to an interior with an industrial or minimalist touch.
