Product description
A set of four Dining chairs, manufactured by the Dutch furniture maker Schuitema. These chairs are a characteristic example of the Art Nouveau aesthetic, a style in which Schuitema excelled.
The design is characterized by the elegant, organic lines of the wooden frame and the openwork top rail of the backrest. The chairs are made of solid wood with a warm, glossy finish. The seats are upholstered with a woven fabric in a greenish-grey hue, featuring a subtle geometric pattern in a contrasting color. The construction testifies to traditional craftsmanship, visible in the details of the legs and joints.
The chairs are in good condition, consistent with their age and use. The woodwork has developed an authentic patina that contributes to the character of the set. The original upholstery has been preserved.
This set is a refined addition to a classic or eclectic dining room. The chairs combine well with a solid wood dining table and fit seamlessly into an interior with a fondness for Art Nouveau and Dutch design.
