An exceptional, multi-piece dressing table set from the height of the Art Deco era, circa 1930s. Crafted from vibrant green uranium glass (also known as vaseline glass), this ensemble showcases the definitive geometric sensibilities of German or Bohemian interwar glass production. Under a UV light source, the entire set exhibits the iconic, vivid fluorescent green glow unique to authentic uranium glass formulations of this period.
The set features a highly sophisticated design language characterized by crisp, stepped facets and delicate vertical ribbing that captures and refracts light beautifully. The ensemble consists of five distinct components:
1x Elongated Presentation Tray: Serving as the structural base with an elegant octagonal silhouette and ribbed borders. 20cm x 5cm
1x Covered Powder Jar / Trinket Box: A robust, geometric container complete with its original matching multi-stepped lid.
1x Perfume Flacon: A striking triangular-shaped bottle featuring a large, meticulously faceted glass stopper.
1x Perfume Atomizer: Matching geometric bottle fitted with its original vintage chrome-plated hardware.
Era: Art Deco (c. 1930–1939)
Material: Uranium Glass / Vaseline Glass, Chrome-plated brass
Color: Transparent Emerald / Mint Green (Fluorescent under UV)
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The glass elements remain remarkably crisp, retaining clear facets with only minimal, age-appropriate shelf wear. The atomizer mechanism is present but missing its original fabric bulb/hose, which is entirely standard for utilitarian glass of this vintage and does not detract from its immense sculptural and collectible value.
A beautifully preserved testament to 1930s European glass craftsmanship.
