Four original Thonet armchairs from 1986, with an unusually high, polygonal backrest and graphic patterned upholstery.
The combination of black lacquered wood, geometrically structured high backrest, and the grey-beige-black textile gives the model a distinctive, almost architectural character. Compared to Thonet's more famous bentwood and tubular steel classics, this series appears significantly more expressive and decorative.
The dating 1986 is confirmed by an embossing on the chair.
The model is listed in the existing historical inventory as Thonet 679 PF. An additional model number directly on the chair is not yet clearly legible, so this designation is deliberately used only for inventory assignment.
A set of four chairs, compiled as homogeneously as possible, is offered.
The chairs are in good, authentic vintage condition. The black lacquer shows minor age- and use-related traces and isolated scratches. Upholstery, construction, and overall appearance are well preserved.
Further examples of the same model are available. Other quantities and larger groups can also be put together.
