A set of four framed works showcasing the refined art of traditional Belgian lace. This collection includes examples of both Brussels and Mechelen lace, two styles internationally recognized for their delicate patterns and superior craftsmanship. The pieces are carefully preserved behind glass, highlighting the intricacy of the handiwork.nnThe collection consists of four separate frames with different dimensions: two square frames of 23x23 cm and two rectangular frames of 26x16.5 cm and 23x16 cm. The cream-colored lace is crafted from fine textile and presented against a royal blue background, creating a striking contrast. Two of the frames have a gold-colored finish, while the other two have a dark, possibly black, finish.nnThe overall condition of the set is good. The lace itself is excellently preserved, protected from the elements. The frames show character and patina consistent with their age, contributing to their authentic appearance. Each piece is a testament to a rich textile history.nnThese framed lace works are versatile in use and can be hung as a group to create a gallery wall, or placed individually in a bookcase or on a dresser. They seamlessly fit into a classic, rustic, or eclectic interior, adding an element of historical elegance and craftsmanship to the space.
