Product description
Set of 4 Folke Pålsson for FDB Møbler J77 chairs. We brought these directly from Denmark!
They were originally red but were repainted blue at some point; they are cool, quirky chairs with a beautiful patina! There are various signs of use on the wood, but that adds character.
These chairs were produced in 1974 and are marked on the underside with the FDB logo and date.
Folke Pålsson based his design on the classic Windsor chair from the 1960s, which he streamlined in a typical Danish style. Folke Pålsson was part of the FDB design collective. FDB was founded after World War II with the aim of creating affordable furniture for everyday use, modeled after the German Bauhaus. Pålsson is best known for this J77 chair, which Hay began reproducing in 2011.
