About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This set of four dining chairs was designed by the Dutch designer Louis van Teeffelen. The design is characterized by organic lines and the distinctive sculptural form typical of the work of this mid-twentieth-century designer.
The chairs are crafted from solid wood with a warm, dark finish. The seats and backrests are upholstered in a soft, grey-green velour fabric with a subtle ribbed texture. The construction demonstrates craftsmanship, with flowing transitions between the legs and the backrest. The chairs reflect the aesthetics of Dutch design from the 1960s.
The set is in good condition, commensurate with its age and previous use. The woodwork has developed an authentic patina and the upholstery is intact, with a few stains.
These dining chairs fit perfectly into a Mid-Century Modern interior or a contemporary dining room. They pair well with a wooden dining table and add a touch of vintage elegance to the space.
