Rare set of Model 777 coffee tables, designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Cassina in 1965. Crafted from solid walnut, these tables are a perfect example of 1960s Italian design, combining elegance and functionality with extraordinary construction quality.
The set consists of three tables of different sizes, designed to fit inside one another thanks to an ingenious sliding system. Each tabletop features two solid wood trestles integrated into the structure, allowing the tables to be combined in two different configurations, offering versatility and visual harmony.
The double trestle structure is a characteristic element of the Scarpas' design language, also used in other famous Cassina pieces such as the Model 121 chair, the Model 925 armchair, the Model 778 table, and the Model 771 coffee table.
This set is in excellent vintage condition, with a beautiful patina that highlights the quality of the wood and the craftsmanship typical of Cassina. An authentic piece of Italian modernism, ideal for enhancing contemporary spaces or historical design collections.
