Product description
Marnix Everaert (born 1960 in Ghent, lives and works in Ghent) has focused on non-toxic printing in recent years. He creates screen prints of non-existent organic objects and draws his inspiration from scientific illustrations of the 18th and 19th centuries. He aims to capture the fascination with the unknown as a reaction to our society, in which everything is explained and taken for granted. In his older works in the Kunst in Huis collection, Marnix worked around mythical scenes, translated into his own visual language which is clearly related to his recent work.
