Product description
Special set of three vintage Globe Floor lights, designed by Frank Ligtelijn for the Dutch company RAAK. An iconic design from Dutch lighting history, combining transparency, geometry, and functionality. The lamps consist of a glass sphere resting in a chrome-plated metal ring, supported by a slender stand with a three-legged base. Inside the sphere is a cylindrical metal reflector that diffuses the light in a focused manner. The glass sphere can be adjusted within the ring, allowing the direction of the light to be easily modified. This creates a special interplay of light and shadow on walls and ceilings. The set consists of two versions in brown smoked glass and one version in clear glass. Together, they form a striking combination where the subtle differences in glass color give the design extra character. All three lamps are in neat vintage condition, with signs of wear consistent with their age. On two pieces, one brown and one in clear glass, there is a small chip on the edge of the opening in the glass sphere. The wiring, plugs, and switches have been renewed on all three. Price of Globe Floor light in very good condition: € 695,- Price of Globe Floor light with chip in glass rim: € 595,-
