3 x Vintage set of ceramic bowls, each set has 1 large and 6 small bowls from the Gats Valkenburg.
De Gats was founded by Hans Custers (1918-2005) in 1954 in Den Halder Castle, Valkenburg Limburg.
Animals, women and Africa have inspired Custers to create beautiful sets. He used sgraffito technique, in which two layers of glaze were sprayed over each other. The decor was saved. Lines were scratched in. The environment was cleaned of the last applied layer with a sharp knife.
The company only existed until 1983.
The large bowl has a size of 15.5 cm ø and is 5 cm high.
The small bowl has a size of 10 cm ø and is 2.5 cm high.
All bowls are marked and pristine.
