Three-piece French Art Deco dining room ensemble with Makassar, circa 1930, consisting of a large Sideboard, a smaller Sideboard with a display section, and a dining table. The ensemble is characterized by a particularly expressive Makassar veneer with lively, contrasting grain. The clear geometric shapes, rounded edges, and strong, architecturally impactful proportions are characteristic of French Art Deco of the period. The dining table has a sculpturally constructed base and a generous tabletop. The two Sideboards adopt the same design language, material choice, and styling, forming a cohesive and representative ensemble with the table. All three pieces of furniture come from the same context and have been preserved together. The ensemble is in a well-maintained, ready-to-live-in condition with age-related signs of wear and historical patina. The surfaces have been partially carefully restored without altering the original character of the furniture.
