Three packets of Rainbow brand sewing needles, "A la Pensée" series, Superfine Sharps gauges No. 8, No. 9, and No. 10. Dark brown waxed paper packets, with labels illustrated with a golden pansy on a white background, mentioning "Superfine Sharps" and the gauge number. Needles mounted on blue paper are present in the packets. An internal "L.J. Guarantee" label is on one of them. Rainbow is an English brand of haberdashery needles, imported and distributed in France in the first half of the 20th century. The three different gauges (8, 9, 10) correspond to needles of increasing fineness, used for sewing and embroidery work. The original packets, with their fully preserved illustrated labels, are collector's items for antique haberdashery enthusiasts. To be framed, integrated into an antique haberdashery collection, or displayed in a cabinet of curiosities.
