Product description
Chair No. 14 (also called Kaffeehausstuhl) was designed in 1859 by Michael Thonet, the founder of Thonet, and was, alongside No. 18 (which has a “whole inner arch” in the backrest) and No. 56, one of Thonet's most popular chairs. This model is still produced by Thonet, but now as No. 214.
This set of chairs dates from approx. the 1960s and was produced by ZPM Radomsko in Poland, a former Thonet factory expropriated after WWII. The chairs are in good condition, both regarding the wood and the still hand-woven rattan webbing of the seat. Normal signs of use for their age.
Dimensions: height 89 cm, width 41 cm, depth 51 cm, seat height 46 cm.
