This is a fabulous looking and rare example of the Thonet B751 Folding Chair. Produced in the 1930s in beech wood with crocodile effect embossed seat and backrest. It is impressed Thonet on the inside of the seat frame. Thonet’s B751 or Klappstuhl is one of the most influential seating designs of the 20th century. The basic form and mechanism has been copied endlessly for the last 90 years, and continues to be the basis for numerous similar designs currently being produced in both wood and metal.
