These are the iconic Open Meshmatics pendant lamps by Rick Tegelaar.
This specific model featuring bamboo paper is the early precursor to the famous designer chandelier he later released in collaboration with the label Moooi.
The lamps uniquely combine fine galvanized chicken wire with a handmade bamboo paper shade.
The paper creates a very warm, soft diffusion of light, while the structure of the mesh remains visible at the bottom.
Original Atelier versions: The versions with the dense bamboo paper (like the ones in the photos) were produced at the time in a limited edition or as unique studio models by Atelier Rick Tegelaar himself. Because these specific paper variants are not part of standard mass production, they are rarely available for purchase online (new). The commercial version (Moooi): The further developed, fully transparent metal variant that is now officially sold by the brand Moooi (the Meshmatics Chandelier) costs online between €2,550 (for the Small variant at stores like Designlinq) and €4,150 (for the Large variant at Designlamp. . nl).
