Product description
This is a set of two Barstools, designed by Danish designer Rainer Daumiller for Hirtshals Savværk. These pieces are an excellent example of 1970s Scandinavian design, characterized by the use of natural materials and organic forms.
The stools are entirely made of solid pine wood, ensuring a robust and durable construction. The seats are ergonomically shaped for comfort, a characteristic detail in Daumiller's work. The warm, honey-colored finish of the wood emphasizes the lively and expressive grain, making each piece unique. The design reflects the brutalist influences of that period, combined with a rustic and functional aesthetic.
This set is in good vintage condition, with a patina consistent with age and use. The original structure and finish have been preserved, contributing to the authentic character of the stools. The visible knots and the texture of the wood are an integral part of the design.
With their timeless and sculptural appearance, these Barstools seamlessly fit into various interior styles, from Scandinavian and rustic to modern and eclectic. They are ideal for use at a kitchen bar or a high table and add an element of natural warmth and Danish design history to any space.
