Radboud van Beekum FM60 Pastoe armchair
Armchair by Radboud van Beekum for Pastoe with a black lacquered metal frame.
The wooden seat and back are finished in brown. Cubist design.
This chair is inspired by the chairs of Gerrit Rietveld. In good condition, appropriate to the age of the furniture.
There are a few signs of use, see the photo.
Design Radboud van Beekum, executed by Pastoe, Utrecht.
The chair had won the prize for best furniture design at the 1980 Triennale in Poznan.
And later became a real Dutch Design Style classic.
Radboud van Beekum
Radboud van Beekum, who graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, worked as a furniture designer for private individuals and companies after his studies in Amsterdam.
In 1980 he designed the FM60 cube chair, which was launched on the market a year later in 1981 in collaboration with Pastoe . The chair had already won an award at the Triennale for furniture design in Poznan and later became a real Dutch Design Style classic.
