Two chairs by Niels Otto Møller, model 84, with a very calm, clean design. The backrest, with its two struts, is gently curved and provides support exactly where it's needed. It's immediately apparent that attention was paid not only to aesthetics but also to the chair's everyday comfort.
What's particularly striking is the craftsmanship. The transitions on the backrest are flawlessly executed, the forms flow smoothly into one another, and nothing appears harsh or tacked on. It's precisely these details that make the difference and demonstrate the craftsmanship for which Niels Otto Møller is renowned.
The legs are slender and slightly splayed, providing stability and integrating seamlessly into the overall design. Everything appears balanced without being heavy.
The seats have been reupholstered in a dark blue fabric that complements the wood beautifully and creates a subtle contrast.
