Private sellerProduct description
This set of two antique Dining chairs embodies the elegant design language of Art Nouveau. The chairs are made of solid wood and are characterized by their clear lines and warm-toned wooden surface. Their special aesthetic is due to the combination of the curved silhouette and the rich upholstery, which makes them timeless and characterful seating furniture.
The construction of the chairs testifies to high craftsmanship. The backrest is designed with a delicate cross-brace, a typical feature of this era, offering both stability and decorative value. The seat is covered with a dark green velvet fabric, which creates a noble contrast to the wood. The slightly outward-curved legs, so-called saber legs, give the chairs a dynamic yet stable base.
The chairs are in good condition for their age and show an authentic patina that reflects their history. The wooden structure is intact and the upholstery is well preserved, indicating careful maintenance over the years. These signs of wear are part of the character and authenticity of the antique pieces.
As a pair, these chairs are excellent as an addition to a dining table in a classically or eclectically furnished room. They can also be placed individually as accent chairs in a living room, library, or entrance area, where they add a touch of historical charm and elegance.
