This unique pair of brass wall lamps by Herbert Schmidt Leuchten beautifully demonstrates just how refined German lighting design could be in the 1990s. The gleaming brass forms a stylish contrast with the frosted milk glass, which diffuses the light softly and evenly. The cylindrical glass shades give the lamps a modern, almost architectural look, while the brass provides a classic, timeless accent. During this period, Herbert Schmidt Leuchten was known for its high-quality finish and durable materials — and this is reflected in the solid construction, the neat welds, and the quality of the glasswork. As a duo, they come into their own particularly beautifully: placed symmetrically, they form an elegant ensemble that is both functional and decorative. A stylish set that effortlessly complements interiors with vintage, modern, or hotel chic influences.
The lamps are still in good vintage condition with signs of use consistent with their age, such as some scratches. Currently, the lamps are fitted with bayonet halogen tubular bulbs (Osram 64481), one of which is broken. We advise replacing these with LEDs with a (B15d base) due to the heat generated by halogen. The price is for the set of 2.
