Product description
This is a set of two dining chairs from the Danish design brand Hay, designed by Hee Welling. The pieces are the celebrated About a Chair 12 (AAC12) model, a hallmark of contemporary Scandinavian design known for its purposeful simplicity and versatile form.
The chairs feature a solid-coloured, injection-moulded polypropylene shell that provides a comfortable and supportive seat. This shell rests upon a four-legged base crafted from black-stained oak, showcasing a subtle wood grain. The monochromatic black finish gives the chairs a sleek, unified appearance that highlights their clean lines and minimalist aesthetic. The AAC12 is a key part of Hay's extensive 'About A' collection, which explores the intersection of form, function, and material.
Presented in good, used condition, these chairs have been well-maintained and are structurally sound. They exhibit a character consistent with their use in a home environment, retaining their original finish and functional integrity.
The versatile design of the AAC12 makes this pair suitable for a range of settings, from a dining area or kitchen to a home office. Their minimalist profile complements modern, Scandinavian, and industrial interior styles, pairing effectively with various table materials.
