About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a vintage floor lamp, model 353, designed and produced by the Dutch manufacturer Hagoort. The piece is a characteristic example of Dutch mid-20th century design, known for its functionality and minimalist aesthetic. The design combines a slender form with an indirect light source, which is typical of the lighting style from that period.
The lamp is made of metal with a brushed finish, probably aluminum or chrome. The construction consists of a stable cross base that transitions into a slender, vertical stand. The funnel-shaped shade acts as an uplighter, directing light towards the ceiling, thus creating diffuse, atmospheric lighting in the room. The lamp is equipped with two light sources and a pull switch for operation, which emphasizes the functional character of the design.
The 2 lamps do need a refurbishment.
All sockets have power and the lamps light up, but the pull switch for the uplight no longer works. I think the cords need to be replaced. The covering of the shades also needs renewal.
But....... the price reflects that: 2 pieces for 500 euros together!
