About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
A set of two Elba armchairs type Cappellini, designed by the Italian designer Franco Raggi in 1983. These chairs are a characteristic example of postmodern design from the 1980s, characterized by a bold contrast in materials and colors.
The construction combines a black leather seat with a striking, multicolored fabric backrest in an ikat-style pattern. The frame is made of metal and the backrest is encased in a solid, dark shell that defines its silhouette. The design year and designer are authentically marked on the chair, confirming its origin.
These vintage armchairs are in good condition, consistent with their age. The leather has developed a light, characteristic patina that contributes to its authentic appearance. The structure and upholstery are well preserved, allowing the chairs to retain their original visual power.
As an expressive design statement, these chairs fit perfectly into an eclectic or modern interior. They can serve as accent chairs in a living room, study, or reception area, where they add an artistic and historical element.
