Product description
This is a set of two DSC 106 chairs, designed by the celebrated Italian designer Giancarlo Piretti for Castelli in 1965. The design is a landmark of 20th-century functionalism, prized for its intelligent construction and timeless aesthetic that has remained relevant for decades.
The chairs are constructed with a polished cast aluminium frame that elegantly connects the seat, backrest, and legs, a hallmark of Piretti's innovative approach to furniture. The legs are made of aluminium, finished in a complementary grey tone. Both the seat and backrest are upholstered in a durable, textured blue fabric, providing comfort and a versatile appearance. The visible markings suggest a production year of 1985, placing this set within the classic production run of this iconic model.
Presented in good vintage condition, this pair of chairs retains its structural integrity and original character. The aluminium frames show some signs of age and use, which contribute to their authentic patina. The blue textile is new!
