Highly rare and sophisticated pair of Brass Wall Lamps produced in the ‘70’s by Orrefors Lighting and designed by Carl Fagerlund. Each lamp has two Hand Blown Glass shades on a handsome Brass frame with a nice geometrical pattern. In excellent and original condition.
The manufacturer, the ‘Orrefors Glasbruk’ was founded in Orrefors, Sweden in 1898. Swedish glass and lighting designer Carl Fagerlund was born in Kalmar, Sweden in 1915. From 1946 to 1980 he worked as lighting architect and designer at the acclaimed Swedish glassworks Orrefors Glasbruk, named after the small town in southern Sweden where it was situated and renowned for its high quality crystal and art glass. Fagerlund died in 2011 in the town of Orrefors, the very place where his design legacy was established.
