Private sellerProduct description
Beautiful 29-piece vintage Gien Oiseaux de Paradis tableware collection, made in France and featuring the iconic Oiseaux de Paradis / Décor Grand Feu decoration.
The collection includes a variety of matching plates, cups and saucers, serving dishes and other tableware pieces, all featuring the distinctive colourful birds, flowers and foliage of this classic Gien pattern.
The collection is in vintage condition with signs of age and use.
Many of the pieces have fine glaze crazing/craquelure, creating the characteristic network of fine lines visible in the glaze.
Approximately 10 of the 29 pieces have additional minor to moderate imperfections, including:
* Small chips
* Staining and discoloration
* Hairline cracks
* Signs of previous use
One larger serving dish has a visible hairline crack, and the jug has a noticeable chip around the upper rim/spout. Some pieces also have more noticeable staining on their interior surfaces.
All known imperfections are shown in the photographs. Please review the photos carefully before purchasing, as they form an important part of the description.
Despite the signs of age, the collection retains its beautiful original decoration and makes an attractive statement for a collector or lover of French vintage ceramics.
