This set of two Cesca chairs, produced by Cidue Elementi d'Arredo, represents an iconic design from the twentieth century. The timeless silhouette, characterized by the floating construction, makes this model a beloved classic within modern furniture design.
The chairs are crafted with a chrome-plated tubular frame that provides the characteristic springy seat. The seat and backrest are made of woven webbing, set in a wooden frame with a warm, natural finish. The underside of the woodwork bears the stamp 'Made in Italy', confirming the origin and production tradition. The combination of chrome, wood, and webbing creates a balanced contrast in materials.
The set is not in good condition, commensurate with age and use. The chairs have retained an authentic character, with the materials having developed a natural patina that contributes to the vintage look. Restoration is necessary.
