Product description
Two fine white porcelain cider bowls, with a classic and well-proportioned silhouette. A round and deep bowl, resting on a discreet foot, with sides gently flared upwards. Their decoration is of great understated elegance. A wide band runs around the entire body, composed of vegetal scrolls and stylized branches in relief, in an ivory and gold palette. A fine gilded line accents the upper rim. The whole ensemble displays a discreet sophistication, very representative of the Belle Époque taste for naturalistic decorations finely rendered in gold. The porcelain is white and luminous, the interior perfectly glazed. The underside bears no visible manufacturer's mark. Please note: one of the bowls exhibits an internal hairline crack, clearly visible in the photographs and disclosed with full transparency. It does not affect the structural integrity of the piece but should be taken into account depending on its intended use. These two bowls belong to French production from the turn of the 20th century, a period when porcelain manufacturers still adorned the most everyday forms with meticulous decoration. Circa . A lovely pair for an antique tableware collection or to rediscover the charm of tables from yesteryear.
