Product description
This is a set of two vintage lamps, designed by the Finnish designer Helena Tynell in the 1960s. The lamps are made of thick, textured glass and can be used as either a ceiling lamp or a wall light. The iconic 'bubble' design is characteristic of Tynell's work and a classic from the Mid-Century era.
Each lamp consists of a shade of clear, molded glass with a pattern of enclosed air bubbles, which creates a beautifully diffused and atmospheric light effect when the lamp is on. The shade is mounted on a metal base. The design is a prime example of Scandinavian glass design, where the texture of the material plays a central role in the aesthetic.
The lamps are in good vintage condition, appropriate for their age. The glasswork is intact and the overall structure is solid. The original wiring is present. This set is an authentic piece of design history that brings the atmosphere of the sixties into a contemporary interior.
Thanks to their versatile design, these lamps fit perfectly in various spaces, such as a hallway, living room, or bedroom. They add a subtle but characteristic design element and complement styles ranging from Mid-Century Modern and Scandinavian to more eclectic interiors.
