Product description
An extraordinary pair of mid-century high-back chairs that bridge the line between functional furniture and fine art. These chairs feature striking studio-carved biomorphic splats integrated into a classic ladderback frame. Each chair exhibits its own distinct, totem-like organic shapes, making them a complementary yet unique artistic pair. The rich, dark-stained wooden frames showcase turned legs, curved stretchers, and a warm natural patina. They are fitted with hand-woven rush seats, which remain taut, intact, and in excellent vintage condition. With their impressive vertical proportions and dramatic silhouette, these chairs make a powerful statement around a dining table, in an entryway, or as architectural accent pieces in a modern or mid-century interior. Excellent vintage condition, see pictures for some wear and tear consistent with age.
