The decor speaks before you even touch the piece. On a white porcelain background, finely traced vine leaves and bunches of grapes unfurl in a continuous frieze, in a rich purple hue that hasn't aged a bit. The design, fluid and naturalistic, is characteristic of 1970s tableware, when the vine motif was making a comeback as a favorite on French bourgeois tables. The size is generous, approximately 13 cm in diameter, making them versatile bowls, equally suitable for breakfast or a carefully served dessert. The porcelain is sturdy, well-enameled, with that slightly flared curve that gives it a good grip. Both pieces are in very good condition, with no chips or cracks noted. Placed side by side on a sideboard or stored in a china cabinet, they form a coherent and charming pair, suitable for integrating into an antique set or for everyday use.
