This deep, warm mustard yellow harks back to 1960s country kitchens, to evenings where the fondue pot took pride of place at the center of the table and each guest had their own partitioned plate. The enameled earthenware captures the light with a warm, velvety intensity, the shiny and uniform glaze giving each piece an immediate chromatic presence. The rim is adorned with an embossed design of alternating lanceolate leaves and dots, precisely rhythmic, testifying to the care taken in creating the mold. The base is divided into four compartments separated by crisp dividers, with the glaze flowing slightly into the corners, displaying that artisanal irregularity which distinguishes beautiful pieces from industrial productions. In a contemporary interior, these plates bring the warmth of an ocher palette and the texture of finely crafted ceramic. Very well preserved, with intact glaze and no chips. Approximately 22 cm in diameter. France, 1960s-1970s.
