Product description
This is a unique display object from the 1960s, made from painted wood and textile. The piece is a stylized representation of Jacqueline Kennedy, a style icon of that era, and probably functioned as a shop window or decoration material.
The object combines a hand-painted wooden portrait with a custom-made fabric outfit. The clothing consists of a jacket with a blue and white pattern and a plain light blue skirt, finished with buttons with a mother-of-pearl and gold-colored appearance. A metal hook at the top makes it possible to hang the object for decorative purposes.
The overall condition is good, in accordance with its age and former use. The colors of both the painting and the textile are reasonably well preserved, and the object retains its authentic vintage character. It is a rare 'one-off' piece.
This decorative object is a striking addition to an interior with a fondness for Mid-Century, Pop Art, or collectibles. It can serve as a unique wall art piece in a living room, hallway, or boutique.
I bought this lady from an international fabric dealer. They added that it was by Frank Goovers
