Product description
Nine times the same gentleman, in a tweed suit with a waistcoat, white shirt, and striped tie, superimposed to form an almost cinematic sequence. A striking fashion photograph from 1971, the year Dutch men's fashion said goodbye to the neat suit with a white shirt and became sportier and more colorful.
The image is created with multiple exposure. The figure shifts a little with each shot, causing the translucent layers to overlap and the last figure to remain sharp and fully visible. In the overlapping parts, you can see the structure of the tweed fabric and the hands shimmer through each other. The effect is a graphic rhythm that emphasizes the fabric, the cut, and the rigid posture of the suit. A beautiful image for those who love stylish black-and-white photography, experimental analog techniques, men's fashion, or the early seventies.
