Paris, early seventies: on a nineteenth-century facade, the brand-new Renault 5 advertises with the slogan "Au Pays Des Merveilles" — Alice In Wonderland used to sell a city car. In front of it are the cars that truly defined the street: A Citroën GS in bright blue, a moped against the wall. Photo within a photo, advertisement next to reality, in the saturated color palette that gave the decade its own atmosphere. A time capsule of the French street scene at the height of car culture.
