Frédéric Vidalens, born on January 31, 1925, and died in Paris in August 2004, was a French painter and engraver.
A figurative, surrealist painter, he attended the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in Paris from 1944 to 1949 and was formally admitted on June 26, 1945, joining Jean Dupas’ Atelier.
His paintings, with a refined style and pastel colors, depict still lifes featuring everyday objects arranged in impeccable alignment. He received a second-place medal at "Les Trois Ateliers" in 1949.
