A beautifully crafted Columbus Duplex illuminated globe, made in Germany by Columbus Verlag Paul Oestergaard, one of the world’s finest historical globe manufacturers. Likely a 1970s or 1980s piece.
This high-quality plastic globe features dual cartography:
• Unlit: classic political map in German
• Illuminated: physical relief map glowing in warm tones
Mounted on a sculptural pine wood base with a silver-tone plastic semi-meridian, it functions both as an educational object and as a striking atmospheric light source. Perfect for vintage interiors, study rooms, libraries, or collectors of scientific and geographical decor.
European plug (220V) — fully working, 15W max bulb (used bulb included).
