Vitra EA222 Aluminum Group Chair, designed by Charles & Ray Eames. High comfortable lounge chair due to padded softpad cover in black smooth leather and adjustable tilt- and swivel unit. This famous design offers an excellent combination of a most relaxing seat position and allows to get up again very easily. Compared to the regular EA124 version of the Aluminium Group Chair, this soft pad upholstery offers greater comfort and has the more elaborate construction of the upholstery. Execution by Vitra in Weil am Rhein, from the 1980s. Light signs of use and slightly stumped corners, but indeed in very good vintage condition for its age. No restorations have been done. The leather has age- and use-appropriate wrinkles, but is still smooth and supple, without damage. In respect to its age of around almost 40 years, it is indeed a well-kept and used design classic with the presence that good vintage furniture brings in any interior.
